Teenage years is the time when teenagers get to learn how to blend in society. As we know, Indonesia is a part of MEA, Indonesians have to understand english. We have learned english since we're in primary school, teenagers in between the age of 16-20, english isn't strange. But still, there's a lot of Indonesian who doesn't know a thing about english because they're scared to speak in front of the public.

 

In this campaign, we're trying to persuade teenagers to learn english in a fun way, through movies. By learning english through videos, we can understand even better, because while we watch the movie, we also listen to the words spelled in order to know about how we're supposed pronounce the text in the right way. When we hear a language more often, it becomes more familiar in our ears and we'll understand faster. We understand our mother language because we hear it everyday being spoken in our daily conversation.

Pronounciation : how you know the pronouncation after seeing the word you've heard

 •sometimes (English) = sam-taim (Indonesia)

•usually (English) = yu-su-a-li (Indonesia)

How to learn english through videos:

• Try to watch a video without using the subtitle. If you want to use the subtitle, use the English language instead of Bahasa.

• Prepare a paper or a phone note to write the words you've never heard about or the difficult words that you have no idea what it means. Then after the video/ movie ends, you can use a dictionary to find the answer or just use google translate.

So that's the fun way to learn English without taking a course, you'll understand English better. There are some people who know grammar very well but they can't speak because they don't know how to pronounce it, it's important to at least know some words from our daily conversation and how to say it right.
